following the abu dhabi golf championship, golf icon gary
player hosted the annual saadiyat beach classic pro-am at
the nearby saadiyat beach golf club. designed by player himself, the course tested the skills of an impressive field that
included paul casey, ian poulter and ryder cup captain colin
montgomerie. ryder cup vice captain thomas bjorn and his
team played well enough to win the event, which raised money
for charity.

During an eventful week at the 2011 Troon Golf Leadership conference held in Scottsdale, ariz., several individuals
and facilities were honored for their outstanding performances in 2010. highlights include BallenIsles country club in
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. honored with Troon Golf’s “Facility of the Year” award; Ken Kosak from abu Dhabi Golf club
in the U.a.E. named “General manager of the Year;” and Seth miller from makai Golf club in hawaii honored as the
“Superintendent of the Year.” Troon Golf recognized these award winners along with several others for consistently
going above and beyond to deliver the Troon Golf Experience.
Quickly growing as one of the
biggest events on the PGA European Tour, the Abu Dhabi Golf
Championship recently took
place at Abu Dhabi Golf Club in
the U.A.E. Defending champion
Martin Kaymer further established his worldwide dominance
by winning the tournament for
the third time in four years. The
championship’s ongoing success
has laid the foundations for the
